1. Information We Collect

• Company account information. Business name, owner name, phone number, email, and address, provided when a charter company signs up.
• Reservation request information. Name, email and/or phone number, and requested dates, submitted by a visitor on a company's booking page.
• Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate a company's reservation page and admin panel.
• To notify a company owner of a new reservation request, and to notify a visitor when their request is approved or declined.
• To authenticate owner logins.
• To process subscription payments.

3. Transactional Communications

Emails sent through BoatBookPro (reservation notifications) are transactional — triggered by an action a company owner or visitor took or is waiting on — not marketing.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate BoatBookPro:

• Supabase — database and file storage hosting
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Stripe — subscription payment processing
• Vercel — website hosting

Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

5. Data Retention

We retain company and reservation data for as long as an account is active, or as required by applicable law and financial regulations.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure third-party infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
